Four security guards held for burning RUCO student with paraffin

Police in Iringa have intercepted four security guards for allegedly burning a fourth Year Law Student of Ruaha University College (RUCo) in Iringa region by using kerosene.
The four security guards working with Juka Security Services based in Iringa are said to have acted on suspicion that Brian Lema (25) a student of RUCo and resident of Kihesa Township after suspecting him trying breaking into the mini bar.
He was almost burnt death had it been the police can to rescued his life after a good Samaritan who saw him burning reported the matter to the police on patrol in that area.
The suspects, all residents of Kihesa Township in the municipality, reportedly burnt the student on Friday last week using kerosene that was rescued by the police on patrol.
According to the Iringa Police Commander (RPC), Ramadhani Mungi, the four were arrested in connection with incident and on the cruel punishment done to the student.
The student has since been nursing wounds at Iringa Region Referral Hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
RPC told MJENGWABLOG.COM there was no justification for giving the student such a punishment, adding the quadrant would be charged in court with criminal offence and causing grievous bodily harm when investigations are complete.
He named the suspects as Mussa Nganga (28), Costa Mgayuka (38), Steven Kalole (24) and Samson Peter (24) all residents of Kihesa were arrested before they could disappear into a thin air.
The earlier investigation by the police said the student was from watching world cup matches at one Inbox Bar where he was also drinking beer but after the games were over the student decided to go to another bar called Glory Bar nearby Glory Lodge and his home at Kihesa-Transformer area when met with this calamity.
"The student was coming from watching football somewhere as he was returning home he went nearby bar but unfortunately the bar was closed. After the watchman (Mussa Nganga) saw him around the area he chased him until he was apprehended and later on called his three colleagues Costa, Steven and Samson who decided to take their law into their hands by pouring kerosene on him and burned him," RPC narrated
